International Women’s Day
Forgive me. I don’t know how to be grateful for baby steps. I’m not sure you can even call it a step of any kind. More like a bit of flag-waving. Like the anti-lynching bill the US Congress finally managed to pass after 200 years (or whatever it was). A microdrop. So little, so late. A microdrop in a giant vat.
A day is, to me, just an insult. It’s not even a day without rape.
A millenium would be a beginning, after the mess left by the last couple of dozen of them.

More girls were killed in the last 50 years, precisely because they were girls, than men killed in all the wars of the 20th century.
