How subhuman are you? Let me count the ways.

I can’t think of any other group where the law can simply say, “You? Why should we protect you? Who do you think you are?”

With any other group, people may think that, but you don’t say it. Not in national media of record.

From The Times [1]. (Original ref here [2].)

Making misogyny a crime would waste our time, police say

Plans to criminalise misogyny to ensure women in Scotland “live free from abuse and denigration” risks overwhelming officers and cutting into the time they need to investigate other offences, police representatives have said. …

“If it is a priority then we will make it a priority but it may mean that, as a result, we can’t do some other things — for example deal with other kinds of reported crime — as quickly as we currently do.”

Nice little orderly society you got there. Be a shame if anything happened to it because someone told us to waste time on frills.

And in the US, of course, women have been turned back into breeders without all those rights which really aren’t appropriate for creatures like that anyway. I mean, bodily autonomy? That would interfere with their function!

There’s a gradual awakening to how much hate speech can influence people. Except when it’s porn. I have it on good authority (Gail Dines [3]) that heterosexual porn has moved so far from erotica at this point, it has nothing to do with it. It’s a solid mass of degradation and pain. For women. Because that’s a high and of no concern to anyone. Women don’t feel pain like human beings do, you know.

Meanwhile, millenials and Gen Z say in polls that women’s rights have gone too far [4]. Women make funny wittering noises when people say that, but you never know what they want. It’s not easy to dial rights further back than losing bodily autonomy — that’s the definition of slavery — but no doubt they’ll think of something. Time to end all those extravagances we indulged in. We have real problems now.

I’m not surprised about the porn. Most men just can’t handle women having equal rights and lives of their own. This is a year old but a good article about the trans situation (sorry if you’ve already posted it!):

Millennials and Gen Z can go fuck themselves. Seriously.

[6]

It is bad enough that 24% of the survey respondents think women should be punished for traveling to another state to have a legal abortion.(And CBS can fuck all the way off for putting as “just a quarter”. Just?! That 1 in 4 people in this country hate women that much has my hair on fucking fire.)

It gets worse if you dig into the detailed results. 30% of men feel women should be punished criminally for traveling to get an abortion. And 42% of people under 30 felt that way. (In contrast, only 8% of people surveyed over age 65 felt that way. But sure, it’s those conservative Boomers who are the problem.)

So yeah, the next person who tells me the younger generation is more liberal/progressive/whatever, I’m going to hit them upside the head with a half-thawed haddock.

Just a reminder of how the rights of citizens are protected when those citizens aren’t women:
[7]

This happened a year or so ago, but none of the ‘progressive’ media has ever reported it, much less compared it to men taking over women’s histories, spaces and identies.

Of course not. Blackface, like men’s rights to their own frozen embryos, their own blood products, their non-discriminatory religions, their freedom from hate speech – violates human rights.

Women are another matter. By law.

Here’s just one recent ‘frozen embryo’ case that ruled in favor of men’s physical integrity – and that schmuck didn’t even have to carry the thing inside himself for the court to rule it a violation of his rights!

[8]

These kinds of cases go back at least to the early 1990’s. All in favor of men.

and another one:

Note the language.

When it’s a question of men’s physical integrity, a fertilized egg is called a “frozen embryo”.

When it’s a question of the state taking over a woman’s whole body for three quarters of a year
and compelling her, by force, to use her body to make a ‘frozen embryo’ into another human being, the media calls that exact same thing an ‘unborn child’.

Men can’t even have their parts used after their deaths without their consent – that’s what organ donor cards are for. You can’t do it without the corpse’s okay! Not so much for living women.

Excellent comments all. (Unfortunately. I wish nobody had been able to think of a single example.)

Sorry for being so missing in inaction, but all this stuff has me depressed. It’s more than sad or angry. It’s way too much oh-what’s-the-use.

The Kellie Jay Keen / Posie Parker crap happened almost a month ago here (Auckland), and I still don’t have anything to say except screaming.

Brilliant comment on it by [10]. And that within days of the criminal misogynist suppression of women. I don’t know how she manages it.

I spend some time on mastodon these days, which is totally in the tank for trans. No whisper of facts is allowed, let alone pointing out that women are — really! DNA proves it! — members of Homo sapiens. Other aspects of mastodon are kind of fun, but drowning in trans bollocks is not. So that’s depressing. And spinster.xyz tends to be a very narrow circle, probably because I never learned to use it right. That’s depressing.

Aargh. I need to go do something to snap out of it. Not sure what.

Maya Angelou said “and still like dust I rise.” But I’m not. What does that mean? I’ve fossilized?

In other news, the ERA was blocked again in the U.S. Senate today, and I haven’t seen this news covered in any “progressive” media.

/*endless screaming*/

I guess a bill disapproving lynching of black people took about two hundred years, so the ERA shouldn’t take more than a thousand or two?

I wish Hillary was out there life coaching me and everyone else who desperately needs it about how she manages to keep fighting in the face of what people are capable of.

More scream fodder:

I took this screenshot and put it up on a very basic webpage, certain that AP meant to do this and also certain that that configuration wouldn’t be up long.

[12]

Sure enough, the article, about a women apologizing endlessly for claiming identity in a racial group to which she doesn’t belong, doesn’t have the little video window about transgender care next to it now. The article itself lists several other racial transgressors, including Elizabeth Warren and Rachael Dolezl. The brief video popup was the only thing remotely referencing the extreme double standard applied to women’s right to their own identity and spaces.

The link to the article itself is in the next comment.

When I first came across a freak out over having the nerve to self-identify racially, I boggled, as usual. Then I went on a snipe hunt to try to figure out what the hell they were thinking.

What _in their minds_ justified thinking one was okay and one was anathema.

The only answer I could see, amid all the cries about the awfulness of it all, was that race is how you’re born whereas sex is socially defined.

Did not solve the problem of boggling. At all.

A little stab at boggle solving: whether right or left, men have no dog in this fight. They export their violent woman haters into women’s spaces. “Let the women fight” sums up most men’s attitudes. As for the minuscule number of trans-men who insist on occupying men’s private spaces, normal accepted male violence against women takes care of that.

The lefty women who reflexively support ‘trans-women’ are the same sort who allowed women’s studies to be taken over and killed by loud men demanding equal time, who allowed one of the largest women’s marches in history to be taken over by a late convert to a religion that requires women to always wear their object status in public, who regard women’s rights as ‘lesser issues’ while enthusiastically supporting the smallest sliver of any group that includes men.

Those women are no different from conservative women. They do and say what their men deem appropriate, and for the same reason: to maintain their derivative toehold on the economic and social stratum they occupy.

I remember race being described as a ‘social construct’ as far back as the 1980s. All that meant was the same thing any sane person knows about gender: the physical facts of melanin or chromosome count are not in question. What is and should be questioned is what any culture makes of those facts. Ascribing immutable traits to race is as wrong as assigning immutable traits to sex. Ignoring the history of what was done to people because of either physical fact is equally wrong.
